It is better to give your child a name that is a little less heard of and is unique in its own. Try not being too antique thought! It should not be funny; so much so that the kid becomes a laughing stock.

Your baby’s name must have a rhythmic progression from first to last name. It should not produce any major fumble while pronouncing it.

Your child should have a first name and a surname but giving them a long name which looks like an amalgamation of your ancestor names can be cause of embarrassment for the child. A name should look like a name and not reflect ancestral name tree.
Combine names to create a new name
You can choose two or more words to make a new name. Scramble the letters in a unique manner and create a name that will be loved by your child both today and days ahead.
Positive connotation
Whether it’s your first or a second baby your baby will always remain special for you. Try to give your baby a name which has a profound meaning. Your child will thank you each time he/she uses the name.

You can honour a family member by giving your child a middle name. Make sure it goes in sync with the first word and the surname.
Say it loud
If you’ve already decided upon a name, you can perhaps try saying it aloud and find out if it sounds phonetically. Make sure it’s appealing and not repulsive. Moreover, the name should not produce any sort of insulting names.
Well, if you still think you cannot decide on your baby’s name, just take as much time as you need. In the meanwhile a nick name will do for years before he is sent to school.
