Every 20 minutes, take a 20-second break and look at something at least 20 feet away. This is a simple rule which ensures that you take regular breaks from the screen.
Correct screen placement
Placing your computer at almost 20 inches away from your eyes not only reduces eye strain, but it is also beneficial for your neck and back posture.
Set screen brightness and contrast at moderate levels. Too weak contrast can exhaust the eyes while a bright one can lead to eye strains and headaches.
For this, you can use an anti-glare screen protector or you can also invest in glare reduction tinted glasses. Moreover, it is also important to place your screen away from bright lights.
Take regular breaks
Taking small but regular breaks and engaging in other activities that do not involve intense visual focus, allows your eyes to rest. This prevents your eyes from overworking.
