Can Too Much Happiness Be Detrimental For Your Health?

There is so much happening around the world that is making us sad and depressed. Happiness has become priceless but being too happy is also not good as it can be fatal! Yes, a study finds that extreme happiness can potentially cause death due to happy heart syndrome. Takotsubo Cardiomyopathy is touted to be the reason behind this.

This condition causes dysfunctioning and ballooning of the left ventricle of the heart. This can be caused due to chronic sickness, death of a loved one, an accident or a natural calamity like an earthquake. Researchers have found that this syndrome gest triggered by extreme happiness after marriage, the birth of a grandchild and winning a lottery. Around 37 cases of happy heart syndrome and 800+ cases of broken heart syndrome were found in 900 participants of this study.

Happy heart syndrome is mainly seen in men as opposed to broken heart syndrome which affects women the most. Researchers uncovered that the chances of death due to happy heart syndrome are low. So, don't worry if you get easily worried during major events in life because even happiness comes with fatal cons.
